Serling’s Re-Framing Efforts
Rod Serling wrote 38 scripts for Night Gallery, 17 of which were based on works by other authors. As with the adaptions he did for Twilight Zone, he made some interesting changes and often improved on the source material.

These posts compare and contrast the original stories with the finished episodes, giving Serling fans a greater appreciation of his unique talent:
“The House”
(an adaptation of André Maurois’s “The House”)
“The Doll”
(an adaptation of Algernon Blackwood’s “The Doll”)
“Cool Air”
(an adaptation of H.P. Lovecraft’s “Cool Air”)
“Green Fingers“
(an adaptation of R.C. Cook’s “Green Fingers”)
